The management team at Alevia Medical Weight Loss have been keeping a careful eye on the COVID-19 situation as it continues to develop and are putting measures in place to protect the health of our patients, staff and wider community.

Our main priority is to keep people well and contain the spread of coronavirus whilst continuing to serve our patients who need our care.

We are in a perfect position to continue to serve our patients through our innovative use of technology and our patient app so you can continue your weight loss journey from the comfort of your home.

Our Vermont Site

Effective tomorrow (the 12th of March) all consultations that usually take place at our Vermont site are being switched to Telehealth consultations. We are currently in the process of contacting all of our patients who are booked in to see an Alevia doctor at our Vermont site to notify them of this change.

These measures have been taken to protect the health of our patients and our staff and minimise the spread of the Coronavirus in our area.

The costs for a Telehealth consultation are as per the following:

15mins or Less (for all existing patients) – $65

Greater than 15 mins or less than 30 mins (for all new patients) – $130

Greater than 30 mins or less than 45 mins – $160

Currently, there is no Medicare rebate available for these consultations, but we will continue to update our Alevia community regarding Medicare changes.

Our Hawthorn, Heidelberg and Fitzroy Sites

Currently (the 11th of March), all other consultations at our other 3 locations in Melbourne will go ahead as per normal and patients are safe to attend Fitzroy, Hawthorn and Heidelberg to see their Alevia doctor as planned.

Please do not come to the clinic if you are unwell with a fever, cough or shortness of breath OR have been overseas in the last 14 day OR have been in contact with a person who is known to have or suspected to have Coronavirus.

Telehealth consultations are also available for patients who would normally attend our Hawthorn, Heidelberg or Fitzroy clinics but are not able to see one of our doctors face-to-face.

We will continue to update our Alevia community with any developments or changes regarding our other 3 sites in Melbourne.

The Reception Team

Our reception team will be continuing to work remotely to provide you with administrative support. Our normal clinic phone number will be diverted to a mobile phone so we can still chat to you on the phone to answer any questions and take Telehealth consultation payments.

All administrative team members will have access to the appointment book and clinic email inbox remotely, so we can continue to manage your appointments and reply to incoming emails.

We ask that, where possible and appropriate, to continue having consultations with your Alevia doctor, to support our clinic and business so that we can continue to operate and provide you with obesity management services in the long-term.
