March is here — and with it come two opportunities to deepen your understanding, connect with our expert team, and feel supported as you work towards your health goals.
At Alevia, we believe sustainable change is supported not only by what happens in a consultation room, but also by building your knowledge of how your body works and developing practical skills you can use long-term. Our fortnightly member webinars are one of the ways we bring our multidisciplinary team directly to you, wherever you are.
Here’s what we have lined up for you this month.
4th March 2026 — Best Exercises for Weight Loss & Building Strength
With James Nash, Exercise Physiologist at Kieser
There’s a lot of noise out there about what kind of exercise is “best” for weight loss — and much of it is oversimplified, contradictory, or not especially evidence-based. In this session, James Nash from Kieser will help you make sense of it all.
James is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with a passion for helping people build sustainable movement habits that complement a medically supervised weight management program. He understands that many of our members are navigating exercise with physical limitations, fatigue, or a complicated history with movement — and he approaches this topic with compassion and clinical insight.
In this webinar, you can expect to learn:
Why the type and intensity of exercise can matter differently depending on where you are in your journey
How strength training can support body composition goals, metabolic health, bone density, and long-term weight maintenance
Practical, realistic starting points whether you’re brand new to exercise or looking to level up
How to work smarter, not just harder — because sustainable movement is always the goal
This session is especially valuable if you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by exercise advice, unsure where to start, or frustrated that exercise alone “isn’t working.” James will unpack the why behind common recommendations and help you think about what’s realistic for you.

18th March 2026 — How Much Weight Can I Expect to Lose?
With Stefania Basso, Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD)
If you’ve ever asked your clinician this question — or typed it into a search bar late at night — you’re not alone. It’s one of the most common questions we hear at Alevia, and it deserves a clear, honest, evidence-based discussion.
Stefania Basso is one of our Accredited Practising Dietitians, and she has a gift for taking complex clinical information and making it genuinely useful and relatable. In this session, Stefania will explore the real factors that influence weight loss outcomes — because the answer is never as simple as a single number on a scale.
Topics Stefania will cover include:
What evidence-based research tells us about typical rates and ranges of weight loss
Why two people on the same program can have very different results — and why that can be completely normal
The role of nutrition, hormones, medications, sleep, stress, and more in shaping individual outcomes
How to set goals that motivate rather than discourage
Why progress is about more than what the scales say
This session is a helpful reminder that your journey is individual. Understanding the science behind weight loss can support more realistic expectations and a focus on consistent habits over time.

How to Join
Both webinars are exclusive to Alevia members and are included at no additional cost for active members. Keep an eye out for your registration links via email, or reach out to your clinic directly if you haven’t received yours.
Can’t make it live? Don’t worry — recordings will be available to members after the event so you can watch in your own time.
These webinars provide general education and are not personal medical advice. Your clinician can help you understand what’s appropriate for your individual circumstances. Outcomes vary between individuals.
Why These Sessions Matter
We know that sustainable weight management is about more than willpower or calorie counting. It can involve understanding your body, having access to credible expertise, and feeling supported by a team that cares. These webinars are one of the ways we support you between appointments — so you can stay informed and connected as you continue your care.
We look forward to seeing you there.
