What’s On in April: Your Fortnightly Wednesday Webinars

April is a big month.

Easter. Long weekends. The tail end of summer. Social events that seem to cluster right when you’re finding your groove.

And for Alevia members, it’s also a month packed with expert-led webinars designed to meet you exactly where you are — practically, emotionally, and clinically.

Our fortnightly Wednesday webinars are one of the most valuable (and underused) parts of your membership. They’re free. They’re live. They’re run by the real clinicians inside our multidisciplinary team. And they tackle the real stuff — not the polished, Instagram-worthy version of weight management, but the actual messy, human experience of it.

Here’s what’s coming up this April.

1 April — Tips for Managing Weight Around Easter

with Olga Wheeler

Let’s be honest. Easter is not just a four-day weekend. It’s chocolate on every bench, family dinners with all the trimmings, and that particular brand of social pressure that makes it hard to hold your ground — or even know what “holding your ground” should look like.

Olga Wheeler brings her warm, practical approach to one of the most common questions we hear this time of year: how do I get through Easter without feeling like I’ve undone everything?

This session is not about white-knuckling your way through a family lunch. It’s about having a plan, understanding the psychology of celebration eating, and coming out the other side feeling proud of how you navigated it — whatever that looks like for you.

15 April — Breaking the Stop–Start Cycle: A Different Way Forward

with Heather Mikronis

If you’ve ever found yourself thinking “I’ll start again Monday” — this one’s for you.

The stop–start cycle is one of the most common and most demoralising patterns in weight management. You’re going well, something disrupts it, and suddenly you’re back at square one. Or at least, it feels like square one.

Heather Mikronis — one of our most requested session facilitators — is going to gently challenge that story. Because the restart mentality, while completely understandable, is often what keeps people stuck in a loop rather than making genuine, lasting progress.

This session is about building a different relationship with consistency. One that doesn’t require perfection. One that recognises that a pause is not a failure.

Come ready to think differently.

29 April — How to Meal Prep Like a Dietitian

with Sarah Morgan, APD

Meal prep has a bad reputation. Either it looks like a mountain of Tupperware and a lost Sunday, or it’s the domain of people who already have everything figured out.

Neither of those is the reality — and Sarah Morgan, Accredited Practising Dietitian, is here to show you what meal prep actually looks like when a professional does it for real life.

This session is hands-on and practical. Expect real strategies, realistic time-frames, and the kind of advice that accounts for the fact that you are busy, tired, and not always motivated. Sarah will help you build a prep routine that genuinely supports your goals without turning your kitchen into a commercial operation.

How to Join

These webinars are exclusive to Alevia members and are included at no additional cost for active members. Keep an eye out for your registration links via email, or reach out to your clinic directly if you haven’t received yours.

Can’t make it live? Don’t worry — recordings will be available to members after the event so you can watch in your own time.

These webinars provide general education and are not personal medical advice. Your clinician can help you understand what’s appropriate for your individual circumstances. Outcomes vary between individuals.

Why These Sessions Matter

We know that sustainable weight management is about more than willpower or calorie counting. It can involve understanding your body, having access to credible expertise, and feeling supported by a team that cares. These webinars are one of the ways we support you between appointments — so you can stay informed and connected as you continue your care.

We look forward to seeing you there.
